Jewer Aiport Contract Awarded to Swiss Company will be Operational by 2023-24

The agreement was signed by Noida Airport developer Zurich International and Noida International Airport Limited (Niall) on Wednesday to make the country’s largest airport at Jewar in Greater Noida. With the agreement, the hopes of flying in 2023 have doubled. Representatives of the Zurich company had already visited India.

According to officials, Zurich International Airport Limited AG has formed a special purpose vehicle (SPV) company in the name of Yamuna International Airport Private Limited for the construction of Noida Airport. This company and Niall entered into an agreement. An online press conference was held keeping Corona in mind. Media representatives of many countries were also involved in this.

The first phase will be completed in the year 2024
The Swiss company says that it will complete the development of the first phase of the airport in the year 2024. After this the airport will have a capacity of 12 million passengers every year. Zurich Airport International in partnership with the Government of Uttar Pradesh and Government of India is hopeful to make this airport an important part of Indian air transport. This will be a criterion of ease of use for passengers and logistics partners.
